Rainy Days & Mondays Always Get Me Down

Without doubt the 199th was made up of the finest group of people that I have ever known. Most of the people on these pages trained at Ft. Benning together, made the field trip to Camp Shelby together. And than we shipped to Vietnam together.

The children of Cat-Lai

The children of Cat-Lai. I once asked the teenage son of Vietnamese officer how he felt about us being there. His answer was honest and simple and I quote "no big deal if not the Americans than someone else will be here! Before the Americans the French were here and when the Americans leave someone else will take their place".

Cat-Lai a little village a few miles outside of Saigon. Cat-Lai is now the site for one of Vietnams most modern electric power plants.
